    As for strand woven bamboo flooring, log is made out of bamboo first by pieces of bamboo soaking in glue, then pressed into the log. Therefore, in addition to the information described in Bamboo Flooring section, you should know what glue is used: the glue has to be strong enough with enough tenacity to hold the pieces together so that it will not get crack after installation when it gets dry in dry climate area; you should know at what density the log should be pressed to: if it's too hight, fiber will be damaged and it gets brittle; if it's not high enough, the board will have many pores in it and you will need to fill all the pores with putty. The surface will not look nice. The following facts will relieve you out of concern to use Hanlite Strand woven bamboo flooring:

  1. Our manufacture is the top of all others in producing good quality strand woven on the basis of using the steps of the above described raw material and processing. (Our product has been tested numerous times by one of our American customers over tester and humidity chamber together with our competitor's products in the environment of relative humidity rate of 36% to 72% for 15 days, our prodcut stood up to all the test and out-performaed all others. One of our competitors has advanced equipment and hot press, our product is still much better than theirs by 9 points). At the same time, our manfacturer was doing the similar testing: put a number of chunks of the boards in a humidity chamber at temperature of 52 degree Celsius(126 degree Fahrenheit) for 12 hours and then put the products in a freezer at temperature of -42 degree Celsius (-42 degree Fahrenheit) for 12 hours. This test was repeated for 7 days consecutively. The outcome is that no board got any cracking either on the top or bottom, no warping or cupping. Therefore, Hanlite solid strand woven bamboo flooring is guaranteed to have no manufacturing defect. And can be installed in any places in the nation.
  2. A couple of years ago, containers and containers of strand woven bamboo flooring were imported into the United States. Later, they were found out to have very bad manufacturing defect-cracking at the surface, the whole boards looked like fish scale. Importers/vendors suffered a lot in cost. In order to avoid such an occurrence, after month's study and experiment, Hanlite's manufacturer has developed special formula of glue and the correct percentage usage for producing strand woven bamboo log. When Hanlite strand woven is milled from this log, the flooring is more stable and water resistant. It does not easily expand or shrink. No cracking or fish scale appearance will occur as described in 1.
  3. The newest and most durable and stable bamboo products, and one of the hardest woods known to exist. Hardness is over 3,000 Janka scale (238% as hard as red oak), ideal material for both commercial and residential.
  4. Formldehyde release in the industry is the lowest (0.017ppm), far surpassing EU specs, which is more stringent than US requirements.
  5. Less color variation. Becuase we take cautions to select raw material also sort out the milled boards before packing, Hanlite strand woven looks pretty much consistent.
